Kathy has been clogging since 1985. She originally learned modern clogging from instructors associated with C.L.O.G. She has since expanded her repertoire to include other forms of percussive dancing, such as tap dancing, Canadian step dancing, and flatfooting.
Kathy has danced with the Chantilly Lace Cloggers in Atlanta, Georgia, the Bull Run Cloggers of Manassas, VA, Happy Feet of Fairfax, VA, and the Calico Cloggers of Fairfax, VA. She also enjoys swing, ballroom, and square dancing.
Kathy has been choreographing routines for perfomance and teaching since 1986. She has choreographed routines for all the groups she has been a member of, including line dances, figure dances, and duets. Some of her workshop routines have been adopted as performance routines by other clogging groups.
Kathy was awarded the title of Certified Clogging Instructor in 2004. This is a program sponsored by the National Clogging Organization, C.L.O.G.
Kathy has taught at the Potomac Double Down Clogging Workshop in Haymarket, VA every year since its inception in 2002. She has also taught at the National Clogging Convention in DC, the Mason District Spring Stomp in MD, the Harvest Stomp in NJ, the Washington Area Square Dance Convention in VA, and the National Square Dance Convention in Baltimore.
Kathy teaches clogging classes at Providence Recreation Center through the Fairfax County Parks and Recreation Department.
She has taught beginning clogging for adults and children, and advanced clogging for adults. She regularly teaches routines to her own group, and has also taught special classes for other clogging groups.

Kathy has been the director of the Calico Cloggers since 2005. She was instrumental in creating and directing the Northern Virginia Fun Dance, and arranged the Early Bird evening dance for the National Clogging Convention in 2004, for which she received the "Most valuable Volunteer" award.
